The best of Catalonia Trip

This trip brings you the absolutely best of Catalonia and Barcelona

This three day city break combines the highlights of Barcelona with important monuments and cities in Catalonia like Girona, Tarragona and Montserrat

Barcelona old town and Gaudí

Your group will be picked up at the Barcelona airport and brought to the hotel, located in the city center.

The first day, we will start with a walking tour around the city center, visiting the narrow and cozy streets of the old town: Ciutat Vella and the charming Gothic Quarter. Also, we will walk along the Ramblas and stop at the Boqueria market, where we will have lunch. This market is the biggest food market in Barcelona, an overwhelming heaven of fresh meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, wine shops and tapas restaurants.

In the afternoon, we will walk to Catalunya square, the biggest square in Barcelona and considered as the “center of the city” by the locals. Then, we will continue to Passeig de Gracia, the main street leading to the neighborhood of Gracia. In this street, you can find the best brands and luxury shops mixed with the predominant modernist style. The local architect, Antoni Gaudí, built two of his masterpieces in this street: Casa Batlló and Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera.

At night, we will have dinner in a local restaurant.

Girona

After enjoying a nice breakfast at the hotel we will take you to Girona - an impressive city north of Barcelona. Girona allows the visitor to enjoy two thousand years of history: here you will be able to see the city's artistic heritage, as well as numerous monuments have survived until today. Visit the old cathedral, the Arab Baths, the Jewish Quarter and the colourful houses along the Onyar riverand. Girona also offers great gastronomy - this is the city where the best restaurant in the world - Celler de Can Roca - is located.

Montserrat & winery visit

On the way to Montserrat you will visit Barcelona's famous church, the Sagrada Familia. Visit this unique religious building together with a certified guide, and see both the facade designed by Gaudí and the modern interior of this UNESCO’s Worldwide Heritage building.

You will now reach the Mountain of Montserrat. This famous mountain has strange, rocky forms and - for some - every stone has a religious meaning. Visit the Monastery and the "Moreneta” (Black virgin). And at 13:00 hours, enjoy the boys' choir singing - the choir is the oldest of its kind in the world; and walk around the nature park surrounding the area.
